DBT Skills Groups
Our skills groups are small, structured live-online learning experiences. Think of it less as a support group and more like a class — focused, skills-based, and held in a warm and encouraging environment.
Most of us were never taught how to regulate our emotions, and yet it turns out there's actually a lot to learn. Our skills groups offer practical, evidence-based tools for managing emotions, tolerating distress, and navigating relationships.
Group participants learn ways to understand, experience, manage, and accept their emotions - organized across four modules:
Mindfulness - learning how to gain more control of our mind
Emotion Regulation - skills to change unwanted/in effective emotions
Distress Tolerance - surviving emotions crises
Interpersonal Effectiveness - how to be effective in relationships
This group tends to be a good fit if you:
Are already doing individual therapy and want structured tools to support that work
Often feel overwhelmed by your emotions
Tend to “run high on anxiety”
Find yourself acting impulsively in ways that create problems
Struggle in relationships
Members are expected to practice skills between sessions and complete a one-time intake before joining. Concurrent individual therapy is required.
