DBT Skills Groups

Our skills groups are small, structured live-online learning experiences. Think of it less as a support group and more like a class — focused, skills-based, and held in a warm and encouraging environment.

Most of us were never taught how to regulate our emotions, and yet it turns out there's actually a lot to learn. Our skills groups offer practical, evidence-based tools for managing emotions, tolerating distress, and navigating relationships.

Group participants learn ways to understand, experience, manage, and accept their emotions - organized across four modules:

  • Mindfulness - learning how to gain more control of our mind

  • Emotion Regulation - skills to change unwanted/in effective emotions

  • Distress Tolerance - surviving emotions crises

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness - how to be effective in relationships

This group tends to be a good fit if you:

  • Are already doing individual therapy and want structured tools to support that work

  • Often feel overwhelmed by your emotions

  • Tend to “run high on anxiety”

  • Find yourself acting impulsively in ways that create problems

  • Struggle in relationships

Members are expected to practice skills between sessions and complete a one-time intake before joining. Concurrent individual therapy is required.
